The Tongxinggong Armed Escort Company Museum has a wide collection of the objects and the written material on the company's business activities during the 64 years from its foundation in 1849 to its closing in 1913. The founder of the escort company, Wang Zhengqing, a native of the Nanliangzhuang villiage of Piingyao Ancient City, had a competition with and beat the martial arts master, the Buddhist abbot of the Shaolin Temple in Middle China's He'nan Province. After that, the abbot Haichuan became an intimate friend of Wang's and built a memorial to sing the praise of Wang's virtues.
