Berkeley or Bezerkeley as some refer to it, is chalk full of interesting personalities and amusements. Solano Avenue is no different -- it's a charming shopping district full of independently-owned, locally-operated specialty shops that offer a wide variety of goods and services to the surrounding neighborhoods. What's so special about this Avenue is you won't find the "big box" stores like you will at Fourth street or the truly odd wares sometimes found on Telegraph, rather an eclectic assortment gifts, decor, eateries, and more that will keep you coming back again and again.
