The Barefoot Cook is a small, quaint restaurant located in a quiet street. The house turned restaurant has wooden floor boards and verandah around the back that can be opened up in summer and closed off in winter with a fireplace. Yes, the cook is barefoot and she comes to your table and personally explains the menu to you. The menu changes often and there are many specials, from ostrich to springbok stew, traditional African and South African (Dutch/Malay influenced) cuisine.
