In San Jose, you will find a variety of performing arts performances ranging from dance to the dramatic arts.
San Jose is home to two dance companies,
Compania Nacional de Danza and
Taller Nacional de Danza. Throughout the year, the performances by each company range from classical to modern performances.
National Symphony Orchestra plays concerts twice monthly between April and November at the
Teatro Nacional (a must-see for those interested in baroque architecture in and of itself.)
National Lyric Opera Company also performs at the Teatro Nacional and at the
Teatro Popular Melico Salazar.
