The Waterfront Park is located on Prince Street in the Old Town section of Alexandria. Entrance to the park is free and located right off Duke and King Streets. The Waterfront Park consist of park benches where you can sit for a spell and take in the wonderful scenes along the Potomac River, watch the ever-present water taxis coming and going to the National Harbor where you can ride the ferris wheel or enjoy one of their local restaurants. You can walk around the Waterfront Park and view the statue of the Shipbuilder that was sculpted by Michael Curtis on October 31, 2004 and donated to the City of Alexandria, Virginia.
There is a cannon located in the park along with more park benches where you can sit, rest or relax for a while. You can stroll to the nearby tons of wonderful shops, boutiques, antiques, restaurants, The Torpedo Factory and the Old Town Waterfront to walk along the boardwalk, piers or wharf areas.
