The centre is open 9-5 daily; admission is free, including knowledgeable guided tour. There is a comfortable modern cafe that serves very good coffee
Royal Selangor Pewter Factory is the working foundry and provides the visitor with a tour giving some history of this family company and the process of making pewter goods.
At the "School of Hard Knocks" (additional cost of 60myr) visitors can beat out a pewter bowl and at "The Foundry" (additional cost of 150myr) visitor can make a pewter accessory from scratch with methods used in the Royal Selangor factory.
The show room and gift shops showcase the artisan design and crafts of the Royal Selangor Pewter Factory.
Prices are the same as downtown although some items are availabe exclusively at this visitors centre. The Royal Selangor Pewter Factory and Visitors Centre is not the the same as the downtown showroom that is used as a stop on bus tours.
