If you get the chance to make a semi-private visit to the Hermitage in the evening, then spend the extra money to experience this great place away from the thousands who visit in daytime!

In a group of about 60 people, you will be able to explore and appreciate the amazing treasures by famous painters, sculptors and goldsmiths "close-up".  Evening sunset views over the river are also spectacular.  This is followed by a concert (about 50 minutes) by the Hermitage Chamber Orchestra and then a short drinks reception.

Travelers report that this proves a better option than the ballet, where the audience can number over 500 and the programme not over-long.
