Although in many hotels guests have the delight of buffet breakfasts, It is good to eat local wherever you go. In Dubai, however, due to the enormous Indian population, Indian cuisine counts as local. If you live in the Western world, you are probably familiar with Indian food, but more than likely, the cuisine they serve is NORTH Indian. You might not yet have tried SOUTH Indian food, which is vastly different from what your neighborhood Indian joint serves. Thanks to the Indians who are building the new Dubai, you will find a large number of South Indian restaurants there, and most are cheap. Why not try them?

In particular try a meal called dosa, which is easiest found and perhaps best eaten at breakfast time. Better yet, order paper masala dosa. It will astonish you. See pictures of paper masala dosa here.  If you look, you can find some restaurants that serve dosas all day.
