Tel Aviv is a coastal city, and because of this it is much cooler than other parts of the country. Still, the temperatures can get extremely hot, because of the humidity factor. During the summer the temperature can rise to about 95 degrees farenheit in the shade on very hot days. At night it gets cooler because of radiational cooling. The winters are wonderful. Temperatures are still around the 70's and 80's with cold nights. One thing you learn to do when you get out there very quickly is always have water on you. This is essential to staying on your feet. Because Israel is such an important spot to millions of people throughout the year, the country is constanly being visited by foreigners on a pilgrimage to the holy land. While most of the visitors are going to see Jerusalem, they are inevitably going to visit Tel Aviv as well. Tel Aviv also has the international airport that most people fly into. Summers and the holiday periods are naturally the busiest times. Tour groups are constantly visiting the country, and this brings in thousands of people at a time. There are different events, both secular and religious, that take place at different times throughout the year. If you are interested in any of those you should try to book your trip accordingly.
