Casablanca the film, wasn't actually filmed in Morocco so sadly this isn't the real thing but it's as close as you'll get!

Full of all kinds of artifacts from the 1930s, many think this is a place worth visiting although opinions are sharply divided.  With Casablanca the film playing in the background (English subtitles), the premises evoke a bygone era.

The Cafe is in an area that is not particularly salubrious and the more cautious might want to get a taxi there and back although the cabs that wait outside charge 5 times the proper price. There is a dress code which is smart casual - no shorts for men or women, no sandals or t shirts.

Reservations are often necessary because large tour groups from cruise ships docking in Casablanca often visit.
