Belize has a subtropical climate with dry and wet seasons. The dry season last from February to May. Throughout the year there are trade winds on the coasts (good for sailing). Sometimes the temperature can range from 50 to 96 degrees and generally, the weather in Belize is difficult to predict. However, Belize has an annual mean temperature of 79 degrees. Most days are breezy but warm, leading most people to relax on restaurant or hotel porches as well as beaches, reveling in the sun. Some days however can be filled with constant railfall; Annual Rainfall in Belize ranges from an average of 50 inches in the north to 180 inches in the extreme south. However, this rainfall attributes to the beautiful, lush rainforests in the south of Belize.
The best time of the year to go is in between February and April since this is the driest time of the year. The high season last from mid December to April. If travelers visit Belize city at other times during the year, outside High season, the hotel rates are generally cheaper and there are less crowds.
