North Dakota gets quite cold and snowy in the winters (seen Fargo?), but is also quite warm in the summers.

Temperatures can range from below zero to around 90 degrees F. Snow is definitely something to keep in mind, as airports can close and flights can be cancelled during the holidays!

Late Spring and Fall are great times to visit as temperatures are mild and pleasant.  Fargo is a good starting point to visit Minnesota's lake country (40 miles from Detroit Lakes area) where a number of recreation opportunities exist.

United, Northwest, and Delta airlines serve Fargo's Hector International Airport (FAR).
