Lower Vitkovice Area is an enormous and amazing industrial area from the 1st half of the 19th century. European Cultural Heritage since 2008. The giant gas container for blast furnace gas was modified into a concert hall for 1,500 visitors with a gallery or café, designed by Josef Pleskot. Famous music festival Colours of Ostrava took place there for the first time this year and it was great! More than 31,000 people enjoying music in the place where people worked so hard and which was so important for Ostrava region! As a part of excursions which are held every day except for Mondays (10, 12, 14, 16pm) you can get also to the Blast Furnace no. 1 by special lift and have perfect view from the height of 73m.
