Cascais with its Atlantic beaches and tourism infrastructures offers a variety of sports & activities. From surf, windsurf, kite-surf, sailing and water-ski to golf, tenis, handicrafts and an impressive casino. Several important sports events take place in the Cascais area: "Portugal Open of Golf", "Portugal Sailing Match Race", "World Championship of Windsurf " and "Tenis Estoril Open ".
Bicas is a free bike service. There are a couple of places in Cascais you can rent the bike from, one is by the train station and another by Museo da Mar. The train station one is usually empty though by 11 on a nice sunny day! You just have to give your passport details and phone number and the bike is yours for the day. There are no gears but Cascais is fairly flat. There is a basket on the front. you can cycle to Boco da Inferno (only 5-10 mins away) and there is a promanade streching to Estoril which is perfect for cycling. In spring the bikes have to be bought back by 4:30. In summer its around 7ish. a great way to see Cascais
