De Branding, street: Koestraat (near Onze Lieve Vrouwenplein, on your left side when coming from the square) for Indonesian food. Feels and looks like it has been in Maastricht for ever. Great food. Small prices Nothing fancy. Some tables outside in summer.

For a snack, do as all people in Maastricht and have Belgian Fries at Reitz on the market square (either take out or eat in). The local specialty is 'friet zuur vlees', Belgian Fries with a meat sauce.
