Mount Etna is the tallest active volcano of Europe and the 2° most active volcano of the World. It's located in the east side of Sicily in the province of Catania.
In its inside there is a regional natural park "The Etna park" full of forests and woods. Are part of the park the commons of Nicolosi, Linguaglossa and other 18 commons.
Generally tourists choose the Etna to do trips around the craters.

The South side - Nicolosi: Starting from the Rifugio Sapienza square (15 minutes from Catania) the tour is 5 hours long and has a medium difficulty. The sights to see are: Bove valley and the summit craters.
The North side - Linguaglossa: Starting from Piano Provenzana square (20 minutes from the freeway exit "Fiumefreddo" of the A18 Catania-Messina). It's a path indicated for trekking lovers.
