Giblartar, United Kingdom. May 8, 2016.
Arrived Gibraltar on Royal Caribbean International (RCI) newest ship Ovation of the Seas during the 52 days repositioning cruise from Southampton to Beijing.
The ship docked at the Gibraltar Cruise Terminal about 20 minutes easy walk to the main Casemates Square. Unfortunately it happen to be a rainy day, but we had no choice but to brave the weather and kept going. As a public service note: a closest  stop for the bathrooms (as we found up) located on the left side about 100 ft from the arched entrance to the Casemates Square. You may miss it easily unless you will follow sign for the Fine Arts Gallery or Crystal store.
For all those who purchased Dolphin Safary, or Top of the Rock, Meet the apes, etc sightseeing it was quite a miserable experience in a foggy and rainy weather. During the good visibility days, Gibraltar could be a good place for pre-purchased excursions, but in a foggy and rainy weather days you will waste your money.
Souvenirs could be purchased during your easy stroll on the Main Street (walk to the right from the Casemates Square). At the split you may go left following the Europa Road toward the Botanic Gardens and Wildflower Park, and eventually to the to the lighthouse (really long walk) or to the right on Rosia Road toward the 100 ton gun.
Note that the Cable Car to the top is located in between the Europa Road and the Rosia Road and less than 10 min walk after leaving the Main Street split.
There are many interesting places to visit, but I mentioned mostly places located within easy walking distance from the ship with the exception of the visit to the Europa Point. It is to far to walk - take a cab if it is on your itinerary.
Happy travels.
