BOMBAY BLUE Indian Tandoori - C.C. Safari Las Americas - The Bombay Blue is the most famous Indian Tandoori Restaurant on Tenerife. It's located on top of the hot shopping spot Safari Centre (Centro Commercial Safari) in Las Americas, Adeje, Tenerife. All food is cooked by our indian chefs freshly for you. DOMVS AVREA - C.C. Safari Las Americas - The Domus Aurea is the well nice designed Roman/Italian Restaurant in the Safari Center Las Amaericas, Tenerife. It's specialized in traditional Roman and Italian food. The italian chef is very ambitious to serve best quality and delicious food. Opening times: So - Thu 17:00h - 23:00h, Fr + Sat 17:00h - 01:00h. GRAN RESERVA - C.C. Safari Las Americas - The Gran Reserva in the Safari Center Las Amaericas, Tenerife, offers its Guests a bright selection of international Cuisine. Opening times: So - Thu 17:00h - 23:00h, Fr + Sat 17:00h - 01:00h. It offers about 60 seats inside and another 60 on its nice and cosy terrace. Reservations call Tel: 922 798 508
EL GRECO - C.C. Safari Las Americas - best quality Greek styled mediteranian food - but we don't know anything yet. Opening times: So - Thu 17:00h - 23:00h, Fr + Sat 17:00h - 01:00h.
PAPA JOE´S - Pueblo Canario Las Americas. Opposite the church in Pueblo Canario this is a great place especially for families. Offers Pizza and Pasta along with great coffees. The best thing about this place is they have a dedicated Kids play area. The free Wifi is handy too. Healthy food for kids as well as really tasty Paninis.
OTELO - Adeje (Village) - For a real Canarian experience visit the Restaurante Otelo. Located at the famous Barranco del Infierno this restaurant serves up typically local fare. Well priced, warm and friendly - great for the kids too.
RODEO STEAKHOUSE - Adeje (Village) - You'll find this restaurant in the white, round building on the right hand side before the Adeje turn off on the TF1. It is a meat lover's paradise. The meat just keeps coming until you indicate that you've had enough. The salad bar is definitely the best with over 40 different salads to choose from (and you can go back as often as you want).
EL DORADO Mexican Grill - Playa Fañabe/Torviscas, Costa Adeje - Phantastic real styled Mexican Grill Restaurant directly located at the Beach Promenade of Playa Fañabe/Torvicas. Offering delicious, fresh made food in highest quality. Try the Enchiladas or the homemade Chili con Carne. Very nice all over the day and especially before, during and after sunset. Tel: 922 719 328
THE GREAT LITTLE ITALY - Playa Fañabe/Torviscas, Costa Adeje - Great Little Italy is the perfect place to enjoy best italian lunch all over the day and for a nice dinner at the evening. It's located directly at the beach front and offers best view to the ocean compared with hot and delicious food and cool drinks. Lovely place all over the day and especially before, during and after sunset. Real homemade fresh Paellas are specially made for you! COEUR DE FILET - Costa Adeje - www.coeurdefilet.com Tel 922717893 One of the top restaurants in the Fañabé area. Modern French-Italian kitchen with focus on meat. Very nice and relaxed atmosphere with attentive proffesional staff. Great menu with an amazing selection of different dishes. Not the "typical" tourist place as their menu is really different from others in that area. Try their selection of fillet steaks. Extensive selection of spanish wines that you dont find everywhere. Not expensive considering the high quality. One not to be missed. Hard to get a table in peak season.
SILVER SPOON - Costa Adeje - mostly dominated by a young audience. Thoughtful furniture arrangements and clean spaces make the Silver Spoon restaurant a very hip and inviting place.
EL PATIO - Costa Adeje - Unashamedly exclusive, and stylishly elegant El Patio is renowned for its cosmopolitan atmosphere and wonderful food. Located in the Hotel Jardin Tropical the restaurant offers a mouth-watering range of top end cuisine served by a discreet and friendly staff. Reservations are recommended.
RICKY'S - Costa Adeje - High class, well presented food, with delicious desserts. Good selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes which are delicious. Food is freshly cooked so there is some delay but the flavour is out of this world. Reservations are recommended especially at weekends as it is always busy but they will do their best to find you a table if you just turn up. Restaurant is situated on Calle Gran Bretagne between San Eugenio (the street opposite the shopping centre) and Puerto Colon.
LITTLE ITALY CAPRI - Lagos de Fañabe Costa Adeje Tel 922712795 - The first real italian restaurant in Fañabé. Located in the heart of the shopping area close to the beach. They have been open for over 10 years now. Highly popular both with locals and tourists. Huge selection of pasta and pizza. Good service and fantastic value as their food is always good. Perfect place for a night out with the family.
OTELO II - Fanabe Costa Adeje - This Canarian restaurant has been famous in Adeje for almost twenty years. The menu is based on simplicity and quality ingredients and you would be hard pushed to find a local who hasn't eaten there - a fact alone that speaks for itself.
THE PANTRY Cafe - Fanabe (You will find the Pantry walking away from the beach, up the hill next to the Centro Commercial Fanabe, towards the Netto supermarket at the top of the hill. You then follow the tree lined avenue to the left of the Netto and The Pantry is the next block up again to the right hand side) Not an easy place to find if you don't know the street names but definitely worth the search! Run by an English couple for the past 9 years the Pantry specialises in the most delicious home made cakes, pies and pasty's. The Pantry is open from about 9am until 8pm and serves the most delicious full breakfast as well as crumpets, toast and jam and teacakes. They also offer a take away sandwich/cake service (for the beach or the airport on departure day).
LA VIEJA - La Caleta Tel. 922711548 - Very nice fish and seafood restaurant with a fantastic location overlooking the harbour. Huge selection of fresh fish and seafood, both local and others coming in from mainland almost everyday. Great outdoor terrace with a cosy atmosphere. Busy place with both locals and tourists. Nice selection of wines. Expensive.
LA MASLA DEL MAR - La Caleta - Wrapped in an airy, lively and comfortable marine decoration, stocked by the daily fishing catch, with an unquestionable relation between quality and price, so close to the sea that the clean marine breeze invades your lungs, this restaurant is one of the best representatives of sea food cooking in the area. It is housed in an ancient building put up in 1568, which served in its time as a warehouse for sugar exportation in the days when La Caleta was a harbour. It was acquired during the 1970´s and was converted into this.
ROSSO SUL MARE - La Caleta Tel. 661 339 390 e-mail: email@example.com - In the street, an elegant carved crystal door is the only sign there is of the existence of a rich Italian restaurant, allowing everyone to enjoy the facilities without having to opt for high prices. . Arguably one of the best and truly authentic Italian restaurants in the south. The staff are attentive, they have a full knowledge of the extensive menu (admittedly not much meat but ideal for fish lovers or vegetarians). The views are superb. It is almost next door to the La Vieja.
BYBLOS - Edif Nirvana Bajos Los Cristianos Tel 922 79 12 60 - Belongs to the same family as the Balkanen in Las Americas but much more up-market – superb Lebanese Food. Belly dancing. If you don't get reply on above number for reservations, telephone Balconen.

SUSHI BAR FUJIYAMA - C/ Los Sabandeños - Edf.Charo You will find the Japanese Restaurant Fujiyama not only specialises insushi but also in attractive and authentic recipes from the Japanese cookery,which is characterized by its healthy ingredients and its wonderful aroma.
KIKIRIKI - CC Apolo Centre Los Cristianos - Specialise in Chicken and Mojos. Good Value
LITTLE ITALY TABERNA - Los Cristianos Beach front next to Burger King - Edificio Don José
One of the first and still the most popular italian restaurant in Los Cristianos. Overlooking the beach and the harbour right on the Maritimo walkway. Massive choice of both old favorites, pizzas and new pasta dishes. Fast and friendly service. Always crowded with both locals and far away visitors. Great and very cheap lunch menu on offer as well. A perfect family restaurant as they really cater well for children too.
THE ORIGINAL BISTRO - off Calle Juan Abril 20, Los Cristianos - Very good food and service, excellent modern menu with interesting daily specials. Quite small, around 20 tables, so you may need to phone to reserve a table. Good value and well worth a visit. Tel 922 79 20 13
RUBINA - Los Cristianos - Extensive menu to suit all tastes, warm friendly atmosphere and loved by locals. Tiny kitchen where you can watch everything made from scratch so be prepared for a little wait. There is no fast food in this place. LA CAPANNINA DI CARLO - Los Cristianos - located down near the harbour, up a flight of stairs and overlooking the Plaza. This italian restaurante serves great food with good service. Extensive menu includes some excellent pasta dishes. They also do pizza. Tel 922 79 66 78
LA RESERVA - Los Cristianos - at the top of Los Cris on the road running to Guaza. Very stylish restaurant run by the 'Harry's Bar' Chain. Not cheap but good, original food.
LA TASCA DE MI ABUELO - Los Cristianos - One of the best tapas bars in Los Cristianos. Run by a friendly family they serve a large range of homemade dishes many cooked to order. The service is always friendly and the atmosphere can quite often become lively as the place fills with locals and tourists alike. If you want to sample some genuine Spanish hospitality, food and warmth you will struggle to find a better place. Can be found next door to the Overseas Chinese restaurant in Los Cristianos
LA PIEDRA - Los Cristianos - Rapidly becoming the gourmets' choice this quality eatery is tucked away behind the KFC in Los Cristianos. The menu specialises in fresh produce from the local fishermen and is complemented by a carefully chosen wine list.

MANTRA - San Telmo (Los Cristianos) - The Mantra is an oasis amid the busy San Telmo shopping centre. The premises are situated on the beachfront and offer a varied menu with an emphasis on eastern cuisine. Vegetarians will be thrilled with the selection of vegetable dishes prepared from old Tibetan recipes and meat eaters will find an extensive range of oriental and international specialities.
SLOW BOAT II – San Telmo (Los Critianos) - The décor is unlike a Chinese restaurant lots of dark wood and white leather. The food is as lovely as the surroundings. This restaurant is part of the Slow Boat chain the Teppenaki in Las Americas also belongs to the same group.
PICCOLO – San Telmo (Los Cristianos) - Tiny trendy restaurant with good food, used by lots of locals established in 1980, is one of the best in the south of Tenerife for specialisingin traditional Italian cuisine.
SAL NEGRA - San Telmo (Los Cristianos) - Owned by the same people as Piccolo this lovely Tapas and Wine bar meets the needs of any discerning visitor wishing to taste the real 'Spain'.
WATERMELON - San Telmo (Los Cristianos) - another new bar and eatery to open in this trendy area. If tourists wish to see how the Canarians do it they should visit this select row of bars, restaurants and clubs. It is the new meeting point intown, with the optimal combination of good food, great service, style andbreathtaking seafront terrace
INMO - San Telmo (Los Cristianos) - for something completely different a trendy cafe overlooking the sea where you can log on to your laptop free and also buy a house on Tenerife a new concept in estate agents.
SAMA SAMA (San Telmo) Los Cristianos - This cosy terraced restaurant,directly above Playa de Las Vistas, invites you to sample the delights of theirfamous pizzas, personally prepared for just how you like.
BISTRO D'ALAIN - Los Cristianos - Home to the finest French cuisine. The atmosphere is intimate and the service extremely professional. Ideal for romance. A reservation is required and they are open from 18.00hrs.
CHILL OUT BAR & RESTAURANT - Paseo Las Vistas, Los Cristianos - A bar where you can take a drink before you go to dinner. The CHILL OUT has an open kitchen and offers an international menu.
EL CERRO DE LA LUNA - Main road from Los Cristianos to La Camella - Gardens, terraces and good meals under small pergolas in the gardens and nice open areas with sea views. An ideal place to relax.

MESON ERA LAS MOZAS - Valle San Lorenzo (10 mins from Los Cristianos/Las Americas) - Known locally as the 'Shed' because the outside seating area is under a bamboo canopy with a large tree in the centre. There is also quite a large restaurant indoors. The food (enormous portions) is always good quality and the prices are very reasonable. You must get here early or phone to reserve as it is always full of locals particularly Spanish families (this is a sign that it is a great place). Tel: 922 76 72 08.
ASADERO CENTRAL - Valle San Lorenzo - even locals have difficulty finding this little gem. Turn left just before the Texaco garage then keep going up the mountain until you see a tiny fishing boat - turn right and you are at a dead end having hit this typical Canarian restaurant. Good basic food, lovely atmosphere, no menu but lots of choice from fresh goat, pork, beef and chicken. Everything homemade and a waiter who like to sing 'Bonnie lies over the Ocean'. What more can you ask.
LA PLAYA CHICA - El Medano - Excellent tapas bar. There are tables outside on the terrace and on a ledge jutting out over the sea. Typical Canarian cuisine with a friendly service.
EL ASTILLERO - El Medano - Situated in the pedestrian precinct in El Medano and overlooking the sea. Typical Spanish cuisine, with a daily specials board and comprehensive wine list. Nice surroundings with a nautical theme.
YAIZA - El Medano - Situated in one of the side streets off the square in El Medano. The owners give you a very warm welcome. All the food is freshly prepared and cooked. They have a daily specials board and lots of local wines.
EL TEMPLETE - El Medano - In the site of the now closed Avencio atop the shopping centre where Hiperdino is located, on the left as you drive into medano. A little pricey but the quality is good and they have a good local wine list. If it's sunny sit on the terrace. It feels a little 'canteen' like but the staff are swift and friendly, and the food tasty.
SAN MARTIN - Cabo Blanco - Specialises in pork from locally raised pigs. This is the place to go when you have a large party to cater for. For groups of sixteen or more, order a suckling pig. For groups of around twelve people a leg of pork will be enough. The quantities of food served per head in this restaurant are huge so go very, very hungry and don't overdose on the starters.
EL CORTITO (THE FARMHOUSE) - Guaza - If you are looking for English cuisine but want to avoid the typical low quality "pub food" then El Cortito is for you. Owned by a Spanish man and his English wife, this restaurant offers a variety of British staples including steak and ale pie, fish and chips, liver and onions and a fantastic roast.
L'AMARETTO - El Camison (between Los Cristianos/Las Americas) - 922 797336 - Stylish Italian restaurant. The owner formerly ran the ROSSO SUL MARE in La Caleta. Original menu not just your usual Lasagna and Pizzas although you can get these too. Very reasonably priced.
MESON CASTELLANO - El Camison, Las Americas - This restaurant has no menu but what is on offer is the freshest food available. Great selection and well loved by locals. http://www.islandconnections.eu/10000...
BALKANEN – Opposite the Columbus Hotel, Las Americas Tel 922 75 23 03 - Good Lebanese Food at very reasonable rates. Really helpful staff take time to explain each of the dishes. The owner serves tables and keeps checking everything is satisfactory.

LA RANA - Playa de Las Americas - La Rana is distinguished by its splendid air conditioned spaces where diners remain for long periods over pleasant chats. At lunchtime, the best tables are found on the terrace, in the evenings the wide salons are packed. As well as regional cheeses and Iberian meats, the expressive chefs are inclined towards a timeless international kitchen, which is continually updated.
EL ARROZAL - Playa de Las Americas - The Arrozal fuses traditional cookery with nouvelle cuisine. This satisfies all the needs of its cosmopolitan clientele.
KHONG TSHA - Parque Santiago III – Playa de las Americas - The Khong Tsha has an enviable reputation for consistency and quality. This Chinese restaurant offers a traditional range of oriental cuisine and is famous for its fried prawns in chilli sauce and succulent duck.
LA MARTINA GRILL - C.C. American Plaza - set up as an Argentine Rotisserie and his specialty is the number one. Located on the top floor of theAmericas Plaza it offers anunforgettable dining experience
MAMMA ROSA - Playa de las Americas - With a large selection of Italian style meals on the menu, Mama Rosas is always good for a night with family or friends. The starter portions rival the main courses.
MONKEY BAR GRILL- Playa de las Americas - Well known by visitors to the Mare Nostrum end of Las Americas. The new sister bar is advertised as …Monkey Beach Club is the newest, sexiest beach bar in the south of Tenerife whether this is true or not remains to be seen. www.monkeybeachclub.es
TONY ROMA'S - Playa de las Americas - Typical of American style diners, the ribs are good and the servings quite large.
HACIENDA - Playa Del Duque - You can smell it before you reach it - and it certainly gets the taste buds flowing! The menu has a lovely 'surprising' mixture of italian, french, asian/fusion and mexican. The seared tuna in sesame crust with ginger and dipping sauce is probably one of the most delicately delicious mouth watering meals ever experienced. Tattinger at £80 per bottle is double what you would pay in Fanabe. A special restaurant to celebrate a special event or even just to spoil yourself.
PARIS MARRAKECH - Playa del Duque - you can immerse yourself ina real and fascinating Moroccan atmosphere. Its original decoration and spacious room make it an ideal place to enjoy MiddleEast flavours
LA TORRE DEL MIRADOR - Playa Del Duque - Swathed outside in fairy lights the restaurant is set over two levels. The downstairs area - even though roofless! - is sheltered by enormous umbrellas and the high walls, again covered in fairy lights, make you feel like you are sat in a cosy magical castle. The menu is not huge but the quality of the food is excellent and the service staff second to none. Music is provided during the evening. There is an ample dance floor . The upstairs terrace is open for lunch during the day (as well as the evening) and is equally delightful. Reserving a table on a Friday/Saturday night may be a good idea as the restaurant is incredibly popular. Expensive - but worth every penny if you are celebrating a special event or want to really spoil yourselves.
MONTE CRISTO - Torviscas - The superb menu takes the rich tradition of Italian cooking to a new level. Dining at Monte Christos is a culinary delight, with elegant and stylish Italian surroundings, expertly prepared and creatively presented Italian cuisine, with service and detail that is second to none. With the chic style and magnificent food this Iis one of Tenerife’s premier gourmet restaurants.
TORVISCAS TANDOORI REAL INDIAN RESTAURANT - cc Costa Torviscas (Old Market Place) - Authentic Indian cuisine at affordable prices. EL MOLINO BLANCO - San Eugenio - This restaurant has become one of the most fashionable and well-liked places in the south of Tenerife. A frequently changing, but clever menu, renewed daily. The menu starts with a selection of meat (baby lamb, suckling pig, duck, ostrich, rabbit, chicken, wild boar or fresh fish), cooked in the log oven or on the charcoal grill. El Molino Blanco is the result of long restoration by its owner who has recreated an extravagant country mansion, surrounded by a garden rich in indigenous Canarian plants. HARLEYS RESTAURANT & BAR - San Eugenio/Puerto Colon Fun night for all the family, there are a collection of old American cars outside this restaurant and an old motorbike (guess it's a Harley) inside. Serving everything from bangers and mash, burgers to a 12 inch hot dog. Prices are excellent and if you want non-Spanish fare this is the place to go. The service is quite slow but everything is freshly prepared.
THE BANANA GARDEN - San Eugenio - Young or old, most people have one thing in common – they like to party! Well how does this sound? Cocktails on a terrace overlooking the beach followed by a fine meal in a cosy restaurant. Live music from country & western and pop, to Spanish guitar, a superb flamenco show and dancing into the early hours. That’s the recipe at one of Tenerife’s longest established and most successful restaurants, The Banana Garden.
THE KING AND I - San Eugenio Tel: 922 750 350 provides a relaxed, friendly dining atmosphere as well as offering take-away. Quality food cooked by Thai chefs
VERDES RESTAURANTE & PIZZERIA - San Eugenio Fresh & home made Italian food. Lovely atmosphere, 1st class service and food. Excellent garlic breads and pizzas. Carpaccio, deep fried mozzarella or bbq spare ribs to start with continuing with gorgeous pasta choice or Pistacchio or Carolina Steak and for fish lovers some Prawns in Fine Herb sauce. To finish lovely home made cakes, creme caramel or panna cotta. Menu is very complete. For kids any pasta 1/2 portion or mini pizzas. Slightly more expensive but definetely worth it. Opens every day.
CARLOS - Avenida Colon, C.C. Club Atlantis, San Eugenio - Wonderful restaurant serving top class dishes with excellent service. Extensive menu with a Portuguese influence from the owner / chef. The Prawn Piri Piri starter was fantastic, but all the dishes were wonderful. Highly recommended Can be found just up the road from Puerto Colon, heading towards the San Eugenio C.C. Its on the ground floor of the Club Atlantis apartment complex.
BERLIN RESTAURANT - C.C. Bora Bora, Puerto Colon, San Eugenio - A little further along the coast from El Pescador walking away from Puerto Colon this German restaurant serves excellent food in quality surroundings. Service was very good. Good international menu with some German dishes too. Can be easily missed as its up on the first floor above 2 other bars / restaurants.
GRAN PAELLA VALENCIANA - Puerto Colon Harbour - don't be put off by the plastic tables and chairs, the food here is excellent quality, well cooked and REALLY cheap. MAR & BAMBOO - Puerto Colon Harbour - located right in the harbour, this plush & modern Italan restaurant serves excellent food in a wonderful location. Excellent pastas and pizzas with lovely thin crispy bases.
EL INTI - Golf del Sur - Explore the exquisite cuisine of Peru at the restaurant El Inti. Carefully decorated in the Peruvian style, this tremendous eatery is the ideal place for a romantic dinner or a family meal.

EL MIRADOR DE LOS ABIROGS - Los Abrigos - Perched on the cliff at the top of the harbour walk this restaurant differs slightly from the others in that it has a reasonable a-la-carte menu in addition to a fish counter that you can choose from. Non-fish eaters are catered for, and if you like lobster and crab it doesn't get fresher - they've a tank with live ones you can choose from Great when the surf is strong, you can feel the ground shake when the waves hit the rocks below!

LOS ROQUES - Los Abrigos - Tel 922 749 401 - A small and apparently fashionable restaurant on the harbour in Los Abrigos that opened in 2005 and has been in the Michelin Guide since 2007. Designer interior, coastal views, and Michelin style menu but don't be fooled, this restaurant constantly suprises by adapting to its customers - friendly staff and a range of really good dishes from prawn ravioli and rib-eye with chips to tuna tartar and peruvian chicken. Everything is prepared on site, including the bread, using fresh ingredients, as much local as possible including some from their own farm. Have you ever stumbled upon a restaurant which you didn’t know existed? One that never is advertised anywhere but is still full of locals? A gem that you really just want to keep to yourself? This is such a place. This is not the cheapest of Canary family restaurants, but for the standard of food and surroundings, it is not expensive either. With prices the same as beachfront Las Américas. MESON LAS REJAS - La Camella - A family business run by its owner D. Jose Peña Avero and his son Jose Antonio Peña. The restaurant takes advantage of produce in season, guaranteeing their best quality. They have an excellent wine cellar with more than 200 wines from Spain.

CHURCHURUMBACHE – San Isidro - Although you can see this restaurant from the TF 1 it is a little difficult to locate. (go during the day the first time so you can find it easily). Good Canarian food.
LA TAQUERIA CANTINA MEXICANA - San Isidro - If Mexican is to your taste it is hard to beat this restaurant.
EL RINCON DE JUAN CARLOS - Los Gigantes - The Padron brothers have created a style far removed from the habitual profiles of catering, which are often prone to clinging on to the mundane. They look for refinement, flavours and sensuality in their dishes.
LA ROMANTICA - Callao Salvaje - La Romantica, situated in Callao Salvaje is well worth a visit, and is well known for its Spanish and International Cuisine. Speciality fish and seafood, paella, flambés and even roast suckling pig is included in the menu.
DELFIN - Callao Salvaje - Fish restaurant where you literally sit out over the sea for your meal, small intimate, well worth a visit.
CAFE EUROPA - Callao Salvaje - Don't be put off by the plastic chairs, there is a good extensive menu and entertainment on an evening.
MIL SABORES - Calle Cruz Verde - Puerto de La Cruz - close to the Plaza del Charco, this gem of a restaurant serves the most fantastic food with excellent service. If you love good food, then you must try here. Understandably very popular, you may need to reserve a table.
REGULO - just off the Plaza del Charco - Puerto de La Cruz - this excellent restaurant is located in a marvelously atmospheric, historic building. Service is attentive and the food first class. There is a courtyard on the ground floor, and a magnificent dining room on the first floor. Excellent menu - well worth a visit.
CASA DE MIRANDA - Calle Santo Domingo 13, (Plaza de Europa) - Puerto De La Cruz - a quality restaurant located in an interesting historic building. Great food and good service, with an extensive menu.
LA GAÑANÍA RESTAURANT- Puerto de la Cruz - ( www.celebracionesbuenpaso.com ) - It’s a nice place with extensive gardens, where you will enjoy eating delicious dishes surrounded by the amazing views of this part of the island (on one side you can see the beautiful sea and on the other side you’ll feel exited looking at Mount "Teide").
EL MONASTERIO - La Montaneta, Los Realejos - Close to the Loro Parque exit on TF5 this beautiful old monastery has been converted into 5 restaurants set in beautiful grounds. There are lovely little houses, small lakes mini horses, rabbits peacocks ducks and chickens and lots more.

LA BARRICA - Right side on the main road towards Vilaflor 1 km after the Ifonche turn off. Great canarian restuarant and an obligatory stop if your going up for a visit to Teide or on your way down. All home made canarian specialities like goat stew, rabbit in mojo sauce, ropa vieja etc. cooked with true canarian love. Many daily specialities. Really friendly staff with the islands best choice of canarian wines. Very very cheap and extremely good value. Make sure you dont miss this gem in the mountains. It's also very close to some very nice treks in the Ifonche area.
EL TIMON - Puerto de Santiago. Tel 922 861 265. Located in a fantastic position in the Mar Blanco Development, next to Hotel Barcelo Santiago. A tastefully decorated restaurant with a lovely outside terrace to enjoy fantastic sea views and sunsets over La Gomera. If you're lucky you may see Dolphins. Serves International dishes. Very good fish dishes and steak dishes, well known for it's homemade deserts too. A very warm welcome every time. Closed Tuesdays.
EL BARCO DE NINO - Puerto de Santiago. Tel 922 86 83 39. Next door to El Timon with the same fantastic views. Well known for it's fish dishes. Some unusual dishes on the menu too. Slightly more expensive than some in the area but worth it.
CHICKEN SHACK- Old Town of Puerto de Santiago. No actual menu, they just serve Bread and homemade Alioli to start. Choice of plain fried Chicken or Canarian Chicken, homemade chips and Salad. That's it, but well worth it. Best to book a table as only open in the evenings (check locally for opening hours), only has a few tables and a LOT of regulars. Also popular for takeaways.
LOS PINOS - Garachico. On a small back street behind the main road. Completely full at lunchtime with locals. Serve a comprehensive range of Tapas and Spanish/Canarian specialities. Good and friendly service.
