Maria Zambrano station is the transportation interchange in Malaga, where one can find the Renfe station for both the AVE and the Cercanias trains. There is a bus station and the future metro will pass through the station also. The station is called Maria Zambrano Station, after a famous female writer from Velez-Malaga. There is a large taxi stand at the entrance. It was inaugurated on Nov. 27, 2006, and was the biggest transportation interchange in Spain at that time.

The shopping centre attached to the station is known as "Vialia". 

Renfe advance ticket sales are open from 7am until 9.30pm and the station itself is open from 05.00 to 00.45
