If you’re heading to St. Tropez for the beaches with the sand and the surf, then July and August are the best months to go. This is peak tourist season so the city will likely be crowded during the summer months. The temperatures average from the low 80s during the daytime hours, to the mid 60s at night. Located on the Mediterranean Ocean the city generally has a mild climate right through much of year. Summer also tends to be the driest months as well.

Spring and autumn both offer good weather as well, with temperatures that can still reach 70 degrees during the day, and only fall into the high 40s at night. With the nearby ocean a light jacket should provide plenty of cover.

Winter is still a good time to visit as well, and the St. Tropez Tourism Office Web site has a whole section devoted to exploring the city off-season. Daytime temperatures can still be well into the 50s during the day, and the city seldom reaches freezing. So whether it is fun in the sun, or a Christmas getaway, St. Tropez and the scenic ocean make for quite an inviting destination.
