Don’t hesitate to take the kids to Juan-les-Pins. If nothing else you can spend family days on the beach, which have fine-grain sand instead of the pebbles like the other area beaches. The water is safe for swimming and the beaches are usually not too crowded. The most central beach is the Plage de Juan-les-Pins, with two public areas: Plage de la Salis and Plage de la Garoupe. Each of the beachfront hotels operate concession stands, where even non-guests can rent a chaise and mattress for the day. Plenty of snack stands are also within walking distance. Do prepare the kids to see topless sunbathing, but rest assured that total nudity is not allowed. Depending on how adventurous your family is, there are plenty of water sports to choose from, including scuba diving, water skiing, sailboats and kayaks.

You can also mix it up with a trip to Marineland on Avenue Mozart – National 7. This combination aquarium/museum/zoo is considered to be the best of its kind. The focus is on education, with killer whale shows, tropical sea life, and zoo animals. Miniature golf is located right outside, and just across the way is Antibes Land . The kids will love the amusement park rides, including an impressive Ferris Wheel, and the butterfly jungle.
