By air:  Te airport serving travelers to Limoges is the Limoges International Airport ( http://www.aeroportlimoges.com/uk/) which is located at 81 Avenue de l’aeroport (within the city).  The airport is served by various airlines include RyanAir ( www.ryanair.com) and Flybe ( www.flybe.com).

Upon arrival:  Upon arrival at the Limoges International Airport , travelers may take a taxi to their hotel destination or they may opt to rent a car.  There are four car rental companies with offices located at the Limoges airport:  Avis ( www.avis.fr), Europcar ( www.europcar.fr), Hertz ( www.hertz.fr) and National ( www.citre.fr).   In previous summers a bus service has been provided from Limoges centre to the airport.  However at other times of the year, it is possible to catch a bus (route 16) from Place de Winston Churchill, alighting the bus at the stop 'Eglise' and then walking for about 1 hour (3 miles) to the airport along a country road which has little traffic along it.  The bus service frequency is about every 90 mins during the day.  Tripadvisor member Jonno1Nottingham can provide JPGs detailing a map of the walking route on request.

By car:  Travelers can take the N141 through to the city of Limoges .  N20 and D79 also enter in to the general area.  Visitors should consult driving maps at www.maps.google.com or www.mapquest.com for more specific driving directions.

By train:  Many travelers take the train through France .  There is a train station located in Limoges which receives arrivals daily.

By bus:  The bus may be the least expensive method of getting in to Limoges depending upon the traveler’s point of origin.  However, the bus station is not located directly in Limoges .  Travelers can obtain additional information about the Limoges bus system through AngloInfo at http://limousin.angloinfo.com/informa....
