One Great Walk in Killarney is from The Lake Hotel to Torc Waterfall, leaving the Lake Hotel you pick up the Cycle / Walking Path at the Entrance, walk for just under 1 mile and you will find Muckross Abbey built in 1475. This abbey has a very interesting history, of burnings, evictions, famous Tombs and Ghosts to name just a few. Irelands oldest lifing thing can be found here a Yew Tree, 100's of years old. After Muckross Abbey you continue on the Muckross House & Gardens, here you can take a tour of the house, gardens and the Traditional Farms. The Old Boat house offers trips to Dinis Cottage and a tours around the Middle Lake. Continue on the trail towards the mountains and you will arrive at Torc Waterfall. You can climb the steps to get great views of the Lakes of Killarney. Alternatively you can rent bikes of take a Jaunting Car to tour the park.
