Torre de la Victoria

The Torre de la Victoria is located at the Plaza de la Victoria. The tower was finished in 1766 and is a very good example of the Baroque architecture. It is the only part of the old Convent de la Victoria that has survived the ages. The convent used to belong to the Order of the Padres Minimos and was demolished in 1939. The tower is 40 meters high and has a wonderful view of the town and the countryside. It was declared a National Monument in 1955. The tower was constructed using brick and has five different parts, and there is plenty of architectural detail in each part. The two lower parts have pilasters and the third part has columns and has moldings made of white stone that make it elegant.
