Located just north of downtown, the
Kelowna International Airport is the major airport that serves the Kelowna area. The airport is served by airlines including
Northwestern Air. Flights provide direct, non-stop daily service between Kelowna and Calgary, Edmonton, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver, and Victoria. Charter flights into the airport land at the Shell Aero Centre, a private aircraft terminal.
Enterprise rental car agencies have service desks at the airport. If you are not planning to drive your own car, another option would be to take either a taxi or shuttle bus into the city.
Greyhound provides bus service to Kelowna from a number of Canadian and U.S. starting points.
Kelowna is easily accessible by car. From
Vancouver, BC, take Hwy 1 east to Hope, where you can transfer to either Hwy 5 or Hwy 3. If you choose to take Hwy 5, take the Coquihalla Highway to Hwy 97-C, which connects to Hwy 97 north to Kelowna. This route is 395 km (237 miles) long. If you take Hwy 3, take the Hope Princeton Highway to Hwy 97 north to Kelowna. This route is 471 km (283 miles) long. If arriving from
northern British Columbia, take Hwy 97 south to Kelowna.
