April. § Easter Golf Tournament § Easter (Holy Week): Recognized as one of the most popular seasons of the year, great numbers of vacationers visit Rocky Point during this time. April 13th – 15th § Sand Drags: Fast 4 X 4 machines from all over Northwestern Mexico gather at the Los Patos Raceway during the month for the season’s second competition over 100 yards of sand. The event’s fanfare begins the day before with a car show. § Parachuting exhibition: For a two-day period, parachutists from Eloy , Arizona make their colorful descents from the skies over Sandy Beach.
MAY § Mothers Day special events & activities § 5 de mayo Las Palomas Triathlon, with the participation of around 1,000 triathletes from the western United States . May 5th-7th.. § Memorial Day Weekend: A time when many American tourists come to Rocky Point seeking fun and relaxation. May 26th – 29th.
JUNE § Opening Cocktail event at Las Palomas new Convention center. § Day of the Navy: One of the events related to the festivities highlighted here is the Feria de la Marina, organized by the Professional and Business Women’s Club in coordination with the Naval Authorities assigned to the port. May 26th-June 11th held at the Baseball Stadium. § O.T.L. Softball: The Over The Line Softball Tournament. Three-person teams gather to play softball in an event that every year attracts more and more team participants and spectators. June 10th at Cholla Bay . § Angler of the Year Tournament (Phase 2): This event is part of a three-phase tournament that ends in October. October 6th, 7th and 8th at Cholla Bay § Regata: Sailboats, primarily from Arizona , travel to Rocky Point’s coast to participate in this competition. October 7th to 10th . § Off-Road Car Racing: An event that involves the whole family as teams compete in this off-road rally (poker run type). Starts in Sonoyta 13th-15th . § Sand Drags: Fast 4 X 4 machines from all over Northwestern Mexico gather at the Los Patos Raceway during the month for the season’s second to last competition over 100 yards of sand.
