Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, the major cities in the Los Cabos region, are located on the tip of the Baja California peninsula.  Unlike mainland Mexico with its tropical climate, Cabo is where the desert meets the sea.  The weather is almost guaranteed to be sunny 300 days of the year, with temps in the high 80s to low 90s and humidity low to keep it comfortable.

Cabo San Lucas is a very lively town with plenty of shopping, great restaurants, and night life.  There's something for everyone of any age to enjoy.   Known as a sport fishing destination, the marina offers first-class charters.  A must-see is a water taxi trip to The Arch.  Lover's Beach on the Sea of Cortez and Divorce Beach on the Pacific Ocean are popular destinations.

San Jose del Cabo is a quaint, smaller town offering shopping and restaurants.  It's a great place to walk, visit with the shop owners away from the hustle and bustle of Cabo.  A new marina is nearby, providing expanded sport fishing in San Jose.

The area offers plenty of lodging with everything from small boutique hotels to large all-inclusive resorts and fully-equipped condo rentals.

A visit to Cabo should be in your vacation plans if you're looking for either a laid-back or an action-filled vacation.  One important note to remember is if you're looking for swimming beach destination, the Los Cabos region may not be for you. Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas is swimmable, but most beaches outside of Cabo San Lucas have a significant undertow and are not recommended for swimming.
