Also known as La Casa Azul the Frida Kahlo Museum is actually the house where she was born and also died. This museum is in Coyoacan, a suburb of Mexico City. There is a very good movie that can serve as a quick briefing of Frida's life and work, called "Frida Kahlo." The museum is a good showplace for identifying the political environment which Frida Kahlo and her husband, Diego Rivera, lived in. Also, as the museum is in an out of the way place, it is good to know that there are clean bathrooms as well as a small cafe with outdoor picnic tables for snacks and a gift shop on the premises. While the museum does not permit pictures inside the house, pictures can be taken in the picturesque courtyard patio and the gardens where you will be waiting in line to go into the house.
