Port Lucaya Marketplace hosts much of the entertainment on Grand Bahama, from special events such as New Years Eve to live music and dancing in the square on Fridays, Saturdays, and usually also Sundays.  There is a DJ on other nights as well, but weekends are the best days.  Music is from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Fridays and 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Sundays.  Also at Port Lucaya are bars like Sparky's which has a DJ, plus popular hangouts like Bahama Mama's, Rum Runner's and the Corner Bar.  Sabor hosts live music and dancing on Saturday nights and DJ on Fridays.  Dive Inn Bar & Grill, Mamadoos and Shenanigans host music periodically as well.

Across the street is the Treasure Bay Casino, which in addition to being the island's only casino, hosts Club Cove, one of the most popular dance clubs in Freeport.  Each night at the casino has a theme - Disco Night on Saturdays, Karaoke and Live Band on Fridays, Latin Night on Tuesdays, and a Dinner Show on Thursday nights.  Many people head here after the music at Port Lucaya shuts down on the weekends.  It stays open until 3:00 AM or so.

The International Bazaar still hosts nightlife options, though not many tourists there nowadays, including the popular Cotton Club, a jazz club run by island legend Joe Fox.  Club Culture, the Caribbean Party & Sports Bar and others still exist as well.  Across the street is Amnesia night club, popular with locals on weekend nights.  On East Sunrise Highway you'll find the area's newest night club, Club X.  There is live music on weekends at Pier One restaurant at Lucayan Harbour which also hosts shark feeding nightly.  Tony Macaroni's on Taino Beach features popular live jazz on Sundays and Wednesdays on Taino Beach.   Coral Beach Condos host music periodically at their beach bar, as does Margaritavilla Sandbar on Churchill Beach.  Joker's Wild on midshipman often hosts local events and concerts, as does Taino Beach.

Every Wednesday night is the fish fry at Smith's point, which features dancing at Outrigger's on the beach and music and good times as the whole island seems to be there.  There are booze cruises, sunset cruises, dinner shows and bonfires on the beach which can be purchased online in advance or through the ticket booths on the island.  Plenty to do, but not so easy to find out about it once you're on the island, so plan in advance and don't be afraid to ask around.  Many events are virtually unadvertised.
