Sport fishing is very popular on the islands. Blue marlin, sailfish and wahoo are abundant in the waters offshore. All three of the islands offer a selection of charters to choose from for a day of deep-sea fishing.
Sailing is a great way to explore the islands. If you're an experienced sailor then you can rent a boat for a day of sailing for you and your family. If you prefer just to go along for the ride there are a variety of options from a week-long sailing adventure in the Caribbean waters to a beautiful sunset sale for you and your loved one.
Snorkeling and scuba diving are the most popular activities for visitors to the islands. The crystal clear waters, exotic fish and coral are perfect for underwater explorations. If you want to snorkel there are plenty beaches perfect for the beginner or you can book a cruise that will take you to one of the outer reefs. There are plenty of charter cruises for diving as well, the choice is yours depending on skill level and length of time you want to be in the water.
There are golf courses available on St. Thomas and St. Croix.
On St. Thomas is the Mahogany Run golf course. The 18 hole, par 70 course is open to tourists and you can even book a tee time on line.
St John has some excellent opportunities for sports and activities. You can go kayaking or mountain biking. You can sign up for a guided sailing and snorkeling tour into the Virgin Islands National Park to visit protected islands and snorkel the coral reefs. St John Snorkeling has lots of information on where to snorkel, tours and visiting the outer islands. You can also go horseback riding or rent your own small sail boat or learn how to sail while visiting little islands off St John.
