On vacation most of the time you want to be far away from your ordinary life back home, but international communication is necessary sometimes: for example, maybe you decide to stay a few days longer and the office needs to know.  On Nevis, it's "No problem, man!"

There are several telephone providers which cellphone users can connect with, the roaming fees aren't bad (and after all, it's only for emergencies).  Cable and Wireless are the longest established providers in the Caribbean and they also handle T-Mobile.  Recently AT&T through Cingular have started service to Nevis.  There is a Digicel company right in Charlestown.

Internet connections can be found at all the hotels, and WiFi is also becoming more and more common around the island.
