Visitors interested in getting around on their own can choose to rent a car, with most car rental occurring upon arrival at the airport. Drivers are reminded that driving is on the left side of the road, seat belts are required by law and temporary local driver’s licenses must be obtained at the time of car rental. The public transportation option in Grand Cayman is the public bus, which is actually a series of shuttle van lines running around the island on a bus-like schedule.
