Virgin Gorda has beautiful, sunny weather year round.   It's quite popular in the winter months when Northerners are looking for a Caribbean escape from the cold and snow.   Hence, winter is prime season when rates are at their highest and the beaches are most crowded.   Anyone wishing to save some money should think about vacationing in the off-season.   July, August and September will be cheaper and less crowded but you can run into some very hot days with high humidity so be prepared.   October and November also tend to be wetter months than the rest of the year. Many businesses here, such as restaurants, shops, and some hotels/resorts close in the low season from mid-August to mid or end of October.

Hurricane season in the Caribbean runs from mid June through November.  However, there is no way to predict whether Virgin Gorda, a tiny 9 square mile island, will be directly affected by a hurricane. Buy trip insurance so that if your plans are interrupted by a hurricane, you won't lose out.
