Went to Marco's Bare & Grill to celebrate Valentine's day. Beautifully decorated modern restaurant. We ordered the Valentine's special, 4 course meal. The NY strip steak was huge and really delicious. My husband and I did not finish our full plate, too much food. We had 3 glasses of wine. The staff was excellent. It cost a total of $120. I would definately go back.

Marco's serves a variety of pastas, steaks and seafood, with some interesting Hors d'oeuvres. All are delicious, the staff is very welcoming and because they are right on the water you can sit outside and watch the boats and people go by if the weather is right.

This Mediterranean waterfront restaurant is so cozy and friendly, it’s really my favorite place to be in Ste-Anne’s now. The atmosphere is relaxed, the decor is warm and loungy, and the family who operate this establishment are jewels.

Simple, beautiful, hospitable people, who care about their establishment and their patrons, of which in fact, there are many.

Their staff is young, vibrant and courteous. Eager to learn and eager to please.

As a wine and food professional, I really like this place. My friends like it too.

The appetizers are classics. Very fresh, cooked perfectly, and well balanced in
terms of sweetness, salt & spice.

The chef here knows how to make food sexy without intimidation.

Crispy calamari served with fresh home-made tzatziki or sweet pan seared jumbo scallops, or tiger shrimp au Pernod. All so delectable, and gorgeously presented.

My personal favorite is the the lamb pops. These buggers are so juicy and aromatic they make me squeal.
They are served with a small side of those mouth-watering Greek potatoes to boot.
Hallelujah!
This type of food orgasm is a rare joy in Ste-Anne’s these days. And it costs a whole whopping $14.
All it needs is just the right Californian Cabernet to wash it down with…and wouldn’t you know it, they have one.

Fish lovers must absolutely try the the sesame crusted tuna. True tuna amateurs will agree this is one of the best tuna dishes around town.

As for the pizza… let’s just say Marco’s have been making pizza for a long, long time.
What Montreal landmark Schwartz’s deli is to smoked meat, Marco’s is to pizza.

Getting back to the wine… great sipping can be done of one of their diverse selection of wines by the glass.
They’ve taken care in choosing a variety of cépages (mostly New World, but there are some Old) to harmonize with their Mediterranean menu, and to give you great tasting pleasure as you move from the light to heavier dishes.

The luxury to pair different wines with different dishes is so fantastic when dining amongst friends and allows you to share a gourmet experience, it’s amazing more restaurants in the West Island do not understand the concept of offering more variety by the glass.

Outside in the summer I can enjoy the canal view on the stylishly furnished back patio, while listening to live jazz, having a smoke and being absolutely fabulous guzzling one of the 2oz. martinis from their extensive list. What’s not to like here folks? It’s a casual, unpretentious quality experience. And there are young, shirtless, sun-tanned men on boats mere meters away….:)) YAY!

Here’s another winning element, a big one, the restaurant is very clean. Sparkling bathrooms, clean bar environment and well groomed staff.

And just to snap the bra strap of my point on how good this place is one more time: They even have a ladies night.

I rest my case.

As a former resident of beautiful Ste-Anne de Bellevue of many years, I congratulate Marco’s Bar & Grill on upgrading their loyal business and paying attention to the details. From their communications, to food and wine pairing to a more inviting decor and entertainment program, efcharisto Anastasia, Michael & Michael!
May much success come to you for all the hard work and care you’ve put into serving the local clientele. See you soon!
Cha cha cha!!!

Me and my girlfriend have gone to this place on several occasions and we have always had a very good experience. The staff were very friendly and fast. We shared the Greek salad and the Prosciutto/Arugula Pizza.
In the summer, Marco's has a very nice terrace with view on the Ste.-Anne Rapides. We have also gone there at night just for cappocino's and/or drinks.
