We went to this restaurant for Mother's Day so we had a reservation. We were seated promptly at a table in one of the dining rooms right near the fireplace. Restaurant is very nice it is inside an estate home so it is very pretty to look at.
Next came our server, I went with my mom who is both gluten intollerant and vegetarian (hard to find anything on a menu she can eat) but we were told by the server they could make everything gluten free. My mom wanted the scallops, but we were told they had none so she went with the crab cakes (after being told they could make everything gluten free). The crab cakes show up breaded in bread crumbs, when we asked if they were gluten free, we were told they could not be made gluten free... so much for everything being gluten free.
We had ordered drinks, pop, coffee, beers and wine and everything showed up (the wrong beer showed up and the one that was ordered was not actually available) except the coffee which took forever.
Most of us ordered the Schnitzel and it was excellent, really, really good.
This restaurant serves great food, unfortunately, the waitresses need more experience and for the price it is not really worth it, you can get excellent German food in Ottawa for less.
