First, the location: overlooking the Richelieu river, in the middle of the picturesque Old Beloeil.
Then the food: makes you wanna go back as soon as possible (which we did, bringing some friends along!). The walleye in almond is exquisite.
Go there during the summer and make a reservation on the terrace, right before the sun goes down and you will not regret it!

This is the best restaurant in Beloeil in my opinion, stop reading reviews and call to make a reservation :)

This charming patio restaurant on the banks of Richelieu river south of Montreal was a great first-time visit for two of us. My wife and I had just returned from south-west France and did not really expect anything hereabouts to match what Languedoc had to offer..., but we did.
It was only for lunch (cannot wait for supper visit) this time but the feeling was already there. Relaxed river setting sheltered by big mature trees, quiet summer elegance, nice service and, above all, really good culinary offerings. (www.jozephil.qc.ca)
The appetizer was an excellent 'potage' of the day, I had fine local pate de Campagne, a big portion it has to be said. For main the lady had lamb coco/curry, definitely 4 out of five. I was happily presented with confit de pintade, a whole leg, that any place in Languedoc would be proud of. No kidding either, a definite 5 out of 5.
The desert carrot cake we scored at 3 as we did the fruit salad. The espressos were good if not our favourite roast.
All in all, a great place...., and with a view to die for!
By the way, all this, including 1/2 litre of reasonable Italian red house wine came in for under $60.

Situated in picturesque Old Bel-Oeil, about 20 miles east from Montreal, this restaurant offers great views. There is a large terrace fronting the river with a great view to Mount St-Hilaire. The service is charming and efficient. The food is average but the scenery and the bucolic settings make this restaurant a great stop over while touring this charming area.

The parking is very limited but Public parking is available nearby. The restaurant, built in an old house, is quite beautiful. By the river, so the view is great. The service was quick, courteous and friendly.

The lunch menu gave many choices between red/white meats and fish. The portions are reasonable and the food was delicious. Good selection of wines.

Good for romantic night or business lunches.

A repeat!
