Minutes from our house. You are greeted with several mini salads to sustain you while you wait for your meal. The grilled meats / chicken are delicious. Shawarma is also very good. My wife loves their schnitzel. Hummus is only ok. The laffa bread is freshly baked and brought hot to your table. Portions are very generous. Food is very satisfactory.

Went to the quieter and more sit down style Dr. Laffa. Nice place. The space is clean and spacious. Guess it was a quiet Sunday afternoon, we were the only customers there.
Ordered the falafel plate, the Laffa Humus plate and the chicken shawarma in a laffa.
The meal was amazing!
Got 8 falafel balls with Tahina.
The Humus was unique, the laffa bread is tasty.
Love their chicken shawarma, you gotta ask for the fries to be put into it! No joke. It’s the best!
Prepare to spend minimum $30 for 2 people!
They do have alcohol but did not ask how much.

Three little dishes of morrocan carrots, cole slaw and pickles arrived as complimentary. Ordered a hummus with tahini and a kefta kabob platter which came with two sides.. I ordered the French fries and steamed veggies. Nice portions and good tasting food. My only complaint is the hummus tasted like tahini and not chick peas so next time I will make sure to order hummus without the heavy tahini in the center.
Nice laffa as well.

We tried Dr. Laffa this week for dinner at the Hilda/Clark location. We were quite disappointed. We are regular customers of the Dr. Laffa south location, which is really mainly for take-out. So we decided to try the north location. The Humus was very watery - probably way too much tehina. When we brought it to the attention of the server - she simply shrugged her shoulders. The Shawarma was undercooked and underspiced. Really tasted just like stir fried chicken with a bit of spice and not at all like authentic shawarma. It wasn't even made the same way as in the southern location (at Bathurst/Lawrence) The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce with hardly any cucumber or tomato. I appreciate that Toronto area kosher restaurants face a really hard time dealing with the local Vaad - and that it is hard to find enough clientele. But this was well below the standard of even the old Dr. Laffa that had been located on Supercrest. It is a shame really. It really shouldn't be that hard to make decent, kosher Israeli food. Sadly, there aren't that many choices in the GTA - so I may have to stick to eating Mideastern food in Israel....

Visited the restaurant on a weekday evening and we were seated quickly and the server came to us almost immediately. The food and service was excellent, best mid-east food I have had in a long time. We had the breaded chicken dinner which came with 2 sides. We chose the salad and French fries. The chicken came in 3 large pieces and the salad and fries were really fresh. Went back a second time and it was just as good.
