“Planned on 1 night but stayed for 2!”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

We had the same expectations as SookYoung1101 and were not disappointed. I knew from TA that the bells on the clock tower chime every 15 minutes round the clock so specifically asked for a quiet room. They placed us in the annex which was quieter. When I said we needed wifi, they changed us to a different room with good signal. So, all of our needs were met. Sure, the rooms had an 80's look but that is part of the charm. We loved the location and stayed an extra night because we were having a great time. We ate in the restaurant one night and found it to be good, German fare with a regional twist.

Room Tip: Rooms in the annex are a bit quieter.

We were a party of three and the third bed was in a weird location, but it was okay.
The location is great. It was in the center of the town (a village, rather)
And the hotel has free parking spaces. (Yay)
When I travelled thru Switzerland couple years ago, most of hotels charged parking fee or didn't have a parking lot if centrally located.
Compared to that, this was great.
The town is very small, so you can just walk around, but the streets are genuinely medieval looking.
When we arrived, it rained and we had dinner at the restaurant.
Surprisingly the food was not salty (we found most dishes in Germany salty for us Koreans) and the serving size was not that huge.
Our criteria of selecting hotels for this trip are: 1. free parking, 2. free Wifi and 3. breakfast included.
Zum Lamm was good for all three and the price was reasonable.
Plus it was in the town center.

Spent three nights in this hotel in July during a really hot spell. No AC which is fair enough but no fans either. Hotel should buy some fans! Saturday night had all bedroom windows open and hotel held wedding party until 3 am! Yes 3 am! Called reception at 2am to complain to no avail. Shocking! Unbelievable lack of respect for other hotel guests. Beer was warm too. Would not recommend.

There is nothing especially fancy about this hotel in Mosbach, but it is in a great location. We walked to everything in Mosbach and it is a part of the timber houses. The room we had was large with a small kitchen area with a fridge, which was nice for snacks. The room, furniture and bathroom was not high end, but perfectly fine. The staff was always wonderful and willing to help and the breakfast was nice to have and certainly good enough for me. We have family in Mosbach and when we come back we will definitely being staying at the Hotel Lamm again.

This Hotel, for me is a typical "Small" hotel in a very quaint German town.
The staff were excellent, check in a breeze, all perfect English.
The young lady serving drinks of an evening, again, perfect English, great humour and very efficient.
First night I eat in the hotel, great choice of food, served very quickly and of very high standard.
The room I had, number 11, we very well furnished, very clean, (if you wanted to have one little niggle the tele was not flat screen, big deal), light and airy with plenty of space.
Shower / bath room spotless clean and everything worked just as it should.
The breakfast choice again excellent, even with champagne for your orange if you wanted a "Bucks fizz".
Surrunding area very pleasant, and we sat out side the Hotel each night taking in the scenery and enjoing good beer, at good prices. Plenty of bars 30 secs walk around a very friendly, happy town square.
Car parking available, free of charge.
Receptionist walked me to the door to my rooms, very helpful

Room Tip: Just sit back and enjoy

Stayed in Room 12 for a business trip, just one night.
Check In - Very efficient and helpful had booked in via generic internet hotel booking company. Thay had all y details, the receptionist spoke good English even though I tried my best German, she was willing to show me the Parking space (free) and room.
Room - I had two single beds, work table, wardrobe, mini fridge and tv. Free WIFI and decent selection of TV channels. Room had a Wooden Alps feel to it. Bathroom had shower, sink and WC. Very clean and tidy. Plus points complimentary fizzy water and Gummy Bears on pillow+++++ only negative on the room was TV was small laptop size so no chance to watch the TV from bed unless you have 20/20 vision.
Restuarant - Food was excellent, had starter, main meal and two drinks for 20 Euro quality was good, typically German menu.

Overall a very good place, really good location bang in the centre, with supermarket just a 3-5 minute walk away and other bars, retaurants on the doorstep. The S Bahn is only a 5 minute walk if you need that.

Room Tip: There are two sections of the hotel Rooms 1-13 are in the older part, where I was but the rooms have...
