This is a shame. Beautiful spot and there is quite a cool vibe about the place, decor etc but it just misses the mark and is a bit scruffy in lots of ways. The staff were friendly but the food was rubbish. Greasy, frozen chips, cheap reconstituted goujons, salad that had seen better days etc. just not good enough!! This could be so good, but its not.

I am astonished that with all the bad reviews, that this place has not taken steps to up its game,
in the times we're in. Had I read the reviews before I bought the Grabone vouchers I would not
have found myself inside its doors.
The outside is shabby, not inviting, highly dangerous to access
on foot or by car (due to sharp bend, also unclear where their parking is?).
There are picnic tables outside which would be attractive on a warm (not windy) summer's day. The interior has a somewhat attractive feel, although mostly it is a sign of what to expect next.
We sat down and the waitress gave us our menus. She asked if we'd like a drink - we said water would be fine. Over the following 20 mins she passed us 3 times, saying she'd be over. There were about 3 other tables in the "restaurant" and 4 more people came in after us. Then she took our order, but the next table got served first (for 1 the fish was missing from the plate). We got 1 starter plonked on the table 45 mins after our arrival (toasted pitta and dips). 1 hr and 10 mins after our arrival, I decided to complain. The rest of the dishes were promptly served. Several parts were missing and promptly brought to the table with no apology.
Now this is the most disappointing bit - the food was disgusting: soggy greasy chips, chicken nuggets (not goujons, with reconstituted chicken), chicken tikka - it was so tough I couldn't pull it apart to eat. Well overcooked crab claws, that had a smell that was not too nice.
Just don't go there.

Nice restaurant and bar, friendly staff and service. I had fish and chips and my friend had beef and Guinness stew, washed down by a pint of the black stuff (Guinness). All food home made. Spectacular view over the Inch Strand, the beach made famous by the 1970 film Ryan's Daughter which starred Robert Michum We will be back.

Have eaten here several times on recent trips to Inch. Welcome is always friendly and atmosphere is always comforting, with no feeling of having to rush that one gets from other establishments - proprietor is always on hand to chat and open to any discussion to improve service, food etc. Food is always fresh and cooked to order - don't agree with previous negative reviews, were they actually at the same place?? Would certainly recommend to others and will be returning again when visiting area.

This was the closest place to where we were staying and having eaten in Sammys earlier that day decided to try here. Overall has a nice homely feel with a funky interior...however we were extremely disappointed with the food! A seafood pie which was pretty much mashed potato and very little fish...chips that were completely greasy and inedible. This place could be so much better it has great potential...it claims to be artisan which it clearly isn't! By the way they only accept cash...no cards?!?!
