The Old Anchor in Annascaul is a superb base from which to explore the delights of the Dingle pennsular. Excellent accommodation, delicious breakfast and evening meal, very helpful hosts.

At the Old Anchor Inn, Annascaul, we recently experienced top class acomodation, food and cleanliness within an old-word, charming atmosphere. Brian and Beatta are highly professional and friendly hosts and we hope to return next year as the Inn offers a high standard of service as well as good value for money. Annascaul village is steeped in history (birthplace of Tom Crean, explorer) and is located close to Inch beach and Dingle, where you can take a boat ride to watch 'Fungie' the dolphin, visit the aquarium or taste home made ice cream!.

myself my partner and 4 year old recently stayed in the old anchor and had a great time
brian was very welcomeing , we had found dingle very expensive but stayed wth brian for a fraction of what some of the dingle hotels were charging.
the rooms were very clean and an extra bed was supplied for our child for no extra charge which was a lovely touch
breakfast was smashing i had the full irish, my partner asked for some fruit and 2 minutes later brian appeared with a plate of numerous freshly cut fruits, really great service.
we didnt avail of the packed lunches but saw some other guest get them
our room had a flat screen tv/dvd combo and the communil lounge/tv room dowstairs had a dvd library this was great in the evening as we could put on a dvd for our child.
cant reccommend it highly enough would stay again

We enjoyed our 1 night stay in Annascaul at the Old Anchor Inn. The Inn is a little pokey but the rooms are large enough, bathrooms are small but are well designed and you have everything you need. The Inn was clean and very quiet and well maintained and it's in the centre of Annascaul. Staff were very friendly and helpful and and even loaned us a laptop so we could do the online check-in for our flight when we were leaving and they printed that off for us which was a big help as there are no internet cafes nearby. Breakfast was very standard and we didn't get tea or coffee but really that was no big deal. Annascaul itself is very quiet and a bit out of the way but the weekend we arrived (Irish Bank Holiday weekend) the town was hosting a fundraising Beer Fest so that was great fun.
