“Friendly and good welcome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

I stayed in this B & B at the annual Annascaul Walking Festival and was very happy with it. The cosy sitting room with the stove is a real winner in cold weather and lovely to have a room like this available to guests. The bedroom was comfortable with lots of hot water for showers and breakfasts were excellent and they filled our flasks each day. Brian and Beata are very friendly. I would stay here again and I recommind it. The village is lovely also and this B&B would make a great stopover on the Dingle way.

Room Tip: The village is quiet so it really doesn't matter about location of the room I think.

Pleasant, cosy B&B with a wood burning stove in the lounge. Friendly, attentive owners, perfectly acceptable bedrooms. Only gripe was that we were "rationed" to a couple of slices of the (lovely) brown soda bread at breakfast .... admittedly we wanted a couple of extra slices to take with us for our walk ... but come on Beata better to be a little generous, than a little stingy.

Hello Mike,

Thank you for your review. We're very glad you enjoyed your accommodation and our cosy lounge.
With regards the bread issue, you had taken quite a lot of the bread for you and your wife's lunch before even getting breakfast and as I said to you, we had other guests to think about and i wanted to save some of Beatas home made bread for them.We serve a genourous Irish breakfast along with fresh fruit, cereals, and yogurt. It's very unfair to call us stingy, if anything, you were greedy.

Kind regards

Brian

Small rooms and not a lot of them in a wee town.

However wonderful host/owner who makes good breakfasts and dinners. There are no other places to eat in this town.

Many walkers stay here.

Clean; good hot water.

Great local - and I mean local - pub across the street.

We stayed for 4 nights in this lovely B&B which is charmingly run by Beata and Brian, they make you feel very welcome from the first minute to the last. Guests are encouraged to come and go as they please and to make use of the cosy lounge with its wood burning stove, satellite TV and great selection of DVDs and books. The breakfasts were great, with a freshly prepared and varied menu. Ostensibly we were on a walking holiday (there's an excellently organised Annascaul Walking Festival in the last weekend of October) but a sprained ankle meant that we spent most of our weekend driving around the beautiful Dingle peninsula, ending each day back in Annascaul at one of the several delightful pubs, especially the South Pole and Hannifins.

We stayed 2 nights at The Old Anchor Inn. Our room was a good size with a large comfortable bed and a good en suite bathroom. This was one of the best places we stayed on our 2 week trip. Clean, comfortable, delicious breakfasts and has an overall feel of professionalism. Brian and Beata give their all to their guests and it shows. There was a food festival happening in Dingle, so we enjoyed the hustle and bustle of nearby Dingle and were able to come back 'home' to the quiet village of Annascaul.

Thank you Brian and Beata, we hope to return some day!

A good friend and I spent just one night here with the goal of visiting the South Pole Inn made famous by local Antarctic explorer Tom Crean.

The room was spotless and the breakfast very good...wish it were on til 10 instead of ending at 9.30 though. We were in a twin room which had limited floor space for two suitcases.

We thought it would be nice to get away from the hustle of Dingle and stay in the quiet village of Annascaul instead of just spending a few hours there....worth it.

We slept very well and I look forward to going back.

Just spent 2 nights in this charming B&B in the pretty village of Annascaul. This place has everything you could need and is run by a wonderfully friendly couple, Brian and Beata. The bedroom was bright, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, the bed was so comfy I didn't want to get out of it! The rooms have flat screen TVs which play DVDs and there is an amazing collection of DVDs to choose from in the guest sitting room. There is free wifi and plenty of books to read. Breakfast is served in the dining room and was delicious both mornings. Brian and Beata were so welcoming and are a mine of information about the local area. Annascaul is only a short drive from dingle so is a perfect location for exploring the beautiful dingle peninsula, I highly recommend staying here!
