Ideally situated for exploring the Blasket Islands and right on the Dingle Way; comfortable and welcoming with a helpful host and plenty of amenities (kitchen, dining, sitting area, breakfast and sack lunches available for purchase, laundry available for a fee). There's only one pub in town, which serves sandwiches, though the Blascod Center offers hot meals during operating hours. The host recommended a restaurant over the hill -- about 30 minutes easy walk -- that was excellent.

Simple accommodations for a cheap price make this a great place to stay if you want to get away from it all on the DIngle peninsula. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

For those who do not purchase meals from the hostel, we advise you to bring groceries with you from DIngle or Ventry, because there is very little in the way of food within walking distance of the hostel.

We recommend this hostel.

Nice hostel in Dingle Penninsula, in Dunkin area. Well furnished, big communal kitchen, and lovely Dinning room lookimg through the sea.
Different rooms who suits in all people and groups.
Notice that there is no shop around, so buy in advance. But in the Hostel you can buy basic food: instant soups, tea...

Perfect hostel if you're looking to get away from it all for a while. Stayed here for a weekend with a couple of friends as we were climbing Mount Brandon. It's not close to anything, not very accessible but if you have the car its well worth the trip. Stunning view! Kitchen facilities are good for its size and has lots of dining space. Nice cosy living room too. Dorms aren't squashed either. But If you fancy going out for a few beers, you're better off staying in Dingle.

Its mere location and views from thé dining room are reason enough to stay there, truly breathtaking. The rooms are a little worn out but ok, our double room turned out to be a 2-bunk bed dorm, but we didn't mind. Towels are 2 euros, and unlike most hostels on the Dingle Way there is no breakfast included, you can have one for 4€pp though. The kitchen is big enough with all the utensils you might need, but the single sink is not enough, whereas the 3 cookers are. There is a small living room with a tiny tv. You can wash and dry, its cheap too, but the machine wasnt good enough for some of our Dingle Way mud stains. The owner is adorable, she keeps some food for those who forget to stock up in Dingle beforehand, as no shops in Dunquin, teabags are 3cents! Would love to go back, great stop on the Dingle Way and perfect if you want to check out Great Blasket as it is within walking distance of Dunquin harbour (20€ à head return for Great Blasket).

We stayed here for two nights on a backpacking holiday and it was just what we needed. Make sure you buy food before you get there if you are self-catering because there are no shops and not much for sale at the hostel but there is a restaurant about 15-20 minutes walk over the moor which is well worth the walk but can be a little pricey. I think it's called Tig Aine and it has great food!
Good value for money and AMAZING views.
