This is one of the better bed and breakfasts we stayed in while in Ireland. First, the house is absolutely beautiful from the outside. The inside is rather old fashioned, but it is still very nice. The hostess was very kind and prompt with breakfast. The breakfast itself was very good as well. It is slightly more expensive than most of the other farmhouse B&Bs, but it was still very good overall.

Mary was wonderful and very happy to share her knowledge of the area with us. We told her our family name and pointed us in the right direction. when I told her how much i loved the brown bread she snuck out and brought me two loafs from the local store to take home. we actually stayed in september 2009 (for three nights) and i have kept meaning to write how much we enjoyed our stop. mary also hooked us up with another b&b close to the airport for our last night. We loved the property and staying at St. Anne's.

Hidden away in the 'less touristy' part of Co. Galway St. Anne's makes for a very comfortable "home away from home" while still located within easy striking distance of everything Co. Galway has to offer.

Mary serves the best Full Irish breakfast I have had in Ireland and was willing to go above and beyond the typical call of duty when we found ourselves stranded in Galway due to car troubles (her assistance in finding the proper roadside assistance numbers and other information we needed kept a bad spell of weather and luck from turning into a complete disaster.

The farm itself is very welcoming and is within easy reach of such great sights as Ashford Castle, The Aran Islands and of course Galway itself. I will definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself!

We spent two wonderful weeks in Ireland - Dublin, Wicklow, Tralee and more and our 4 day stay at St. Anne's was definitely one of the highlights. Mary Birmingham epitomises the spirit of genuine Irish hospitality. She made us feel welcome and comfortable, was flexible and reliable. I enjoyed our morning conversations even more than her delicious breakfasts. The house was beautiful, quiet, the beds were super comfy and ensuite bath clean and well supplied. Whenever I am able to return to Ireland, I will do my best to stay here again.

We stayed at St. Anne's for four nights and would have stayed one more had Mary Birmingham had room. Our room was spacious. We had a triple with bathroom en suite. Comfortable beds. Quiet and peaceful. The breakfasts were full Irish (if you liked) and so generous we had to ask for less after the first morning. Fresh fruit on the sideboard every day. Beautiful, tasteful furnishings. Convenient location to Galway City and the Connemara. What I liked the best was the hostess herself. Mary Birmingham is one of the "Wow factors" of Ireland. She is knowledgeable, charming, amusing, kind and savvy. I cannot think of one thing to say about what I "liked the least." I liked it all.

We stayed at St. Annes in august and had a wonderful time. Mary and frank are so warm and welcoming mary was like a mother and very kind and loving. We only stayed a week but didn't want to leave. It was wonderful to have mary make me feel at home. I loved the farm and its beauty. Mary makes an incredible traditional Irish breakfast and some of the best muesli i have EVER tasted definitely get up for breakfast. Tuam is a wonderful little town, cre na cille is a must for dinner or early bird menu.
