This store is a must-see, even if you don't intend on buying anything. The inside of the building is enormous and the range is outstanding. It almost seems more like a museum than a shop. The staff were also very friendly. You could easily spend hours exploring the building - it's quite a unique and peculiar adventure.

Reliquaire is just amazing. If you cant find something in this shop thats of interest to you, or to bring a smile to your face, you're probably dead.
My wife and I visited in November while touring Tasmania. It was the last place to visit before heading back to the mainland, so we bought just about ALL of our Xmas presents there.
This shop is one of Tasmanias, no, Australia's wonders.
Do yourself a BIG favour and put it into your itinerary for your trip to Tassie. You wont be sorry you did.
I wanna go back.....and spend a day or two in there.....sigh

I thought we were walking in to check out a few antiques and gifts, then we entered, and were offered a map for Reliquire's 20 rooms. It's a tour through amazing dolls (some life size, some larger than life), gifts of all sorts, books, aromas that draw you in, sculptures, masks from Venice and on and on. The various faces that look back at you are strange, beautiful and unique. Go inside and expect the unexpected. How they source this amazing collection is beyond me.

This place is just gorgeous and I love coming here to look around, and sometimes splurge and buy something too!

Upon walking in they always offer homemade fudge, yum!! You can stay in this place for an hour walking around!

They have LOADS of collectable items, especially disney memorabilia and star wars too. All for purchase too, but because they are collectables, the prices are quite expensive.

They have natural skincare for sale there too which is nice, wonderful candles, and even products of the big bang theory tv show, like the wobble heads etc, a collectable in time!

This place is right in the middle of the main road of Latrobe, and is definitely worth a look, and it is a MUST for tourists, you might find something you absolutely adore and want to take back home. They have lots of things from other countries too, including food, tea etc, books etc, there is just so much stuff there its an amazing place!

Everyone has to go at least once in tasmania, and even locals tend to revisit just to have a look around, because they may be historical and full of collectables, they constantly stock new items too, so its worth revisiting regularly!!

No matter what you've been told about this shop, nothing could prepare you for the sheer volume of things for sale, the nookish layout of the shop and the quirkiness of it all. If you can't find something for a gift in there I don't think you went into all of the twenty or so rooms. Tip - leave your handbag in the car. Not the kind of shop you want to swing around in accidentally. Don't leave your wallet though, too many goodies.
