Beautiful place, very nice hospitality, charming room with an even more charming bathroom full of plants and an outdoor shower to take a warm shower under the sun or the stars...very nice hospitality, the staff is very helpful and the food is very healthy. The welcome drink is excellent !
As for the "But" it is more of an advise...as the breakfast and the dinner are included in the price it would be good to know if one can buy something to drink in addition, or to have a sort of "list" with the drinks available and the prices. Salt and pepper and some slices of lemon for the fish on the table would be a plus ! Put a manual of how to turn on the TV as it is quite confusing to get the channels, we didn't manage. Otherwise we had a really great and relaxing time and will surely return as soon as we can. Congratulation !

My dad, mum, sister and I are all from Caracas and decided to come here to stay for 2 nights (3 days). This is the first time all of us were visiting Choroni and we were really pleased with the whole experience. It tooks a little while to find the posada but were finally able to find the entrance for cars (since we drove there) after giving the main contact there a call. We were greeted by a lovely young woman whom walked us through the posada and finally took us to the main lounge area where delicious drinks were already waiting for us.

The rooms in Casa Mori are great fully equipped with air co, a mini fridge, satellite TV and king size beds. The bathrooms in particular really mark the difference in this posada since they're all next to each room but are actually outdoors. This gives you a real tropical jungle experience while you shower, which is something I've never seen before.

The food was lovely and of a high standard. Local snacks are served every day at 4pm before dinner and after lunch. The posada can also arrange for a trustworthy lanchero (boat man) to pick you up from the posada and take you by boat all the way to the beaches around Choroni. We visited Chepe beach with the lanchero and can say that it's one of the most beautiful beaches we've seen.

Superb! Family Mori-Báez has built a genuine paradise. I strongly recommend it. The experience brings back hope about tourism in Venezuela. However, there are problems related to electric power, that doesn't depend on lodge (any case, they have their own back up generator).

Considerable thought has eveidently been put into what can be desribed as a Boutique Hotel. The food and decoration are sophisticated in an area of the world where most options ate simple and not always good.
Unfortunately there is a problem of management which is especizlly pronkemic since not a single memner of staff speaks any langiauge except Spanish. It seems that any importa,t matter, including a booking had to go through the "head office" which is not at theb hotel itself which is quite irrirating. The staff at the Csa Mori don't seem to be able to comunicate among themselves, perhaps since they appear to have no authority. The result is that a portentially outstanding place end up being quite mediocre.

In my opinion, the best thing about Casa Mori was the food. Breakfast was different each day -- with a different country represented each day. Attention to detail was great - even the music played in the morning reflected the country theme. The Mexican breakfast was paired with Mexican music, for example. Dinners were fantastic as well, especially the desserts. Hugo, the manager, took great care in accommodating the fact that I did not enjoy seafood and that my 8 year old son has a limited palate. Hugo was also very apologetic on the day when we checked in when there were power outages. It was not his fault that the government had been slow to bring back full power to the area after a windstorm, but he apologized anyway and said that everything was being done to fix their generator so that we would no longer notice the scheduled government blackouts. He was right: the generator was fixed quickly, we were quite comfortable and very happy to know that the management of Casa Mori really cared about our comfort during our stay.

Hugo also set us up on the first day with a lanchero guide who would take us in his boat to the various beaches. We spent two full days with Luis, who is a native of nearby Chuao. Luis was fantastic and took us everywhere we wanted to go, including a tour of his home town. We even met his family!

I highly recommend Casa Mori.
