To start with, Choroni is a strange place! There is almost no international tourism here so the town is deserted from Sunday night until Friday afternoon and then over-run from Friday night until Sunday afternoon! For example, we were the only guests on Thursday night but by Saturday the posada was full and then by Sunday night the only restaurant open was the (thankfully very good) pizzeria! The national park was also a little disappointing with little wildlife or scenery to speak of.
The main drawback of the posada is that is a good 20 minute walk to the beach. Another negative was that breakfast consisted of coffee or hot chocolate - that was it! The rooms were fine, a little small but clean. The best feature of the posada was the pool (with jacuzzi) and gardens, which were very large for the size of posada and very well tended.
Overall though I would advise international tourists to think twice about visiting Choroni - if I had my time again I would spend longer on margarita
