Everyone who stays in Jose Ignacio goes to La Huella. It's a great spot, right on the beach. The restaurant is nicely decorated and professional. The food is good but you don't go only for the food. There is a great ambiance and its perfect for the beach. Always busy, book ahead or be left out.

I went in the evening so, sadly, I couldn't see the sea but as I trudged through the sand to get there, it must be on the beach. There is a good looking terrace outside, where the tables were occupied but no way were we going to sit out there as it was blowing half a gale.
This is a busy restaurant, reservations obligatory. There are two evening sittings and you had better be on time. Service was super efficient, they seem to have one staff for every two guests (i exaggerate of course) so we didn't have to wait for our orders at all. Super efficient, this way you manage two sittings.
The food was good, I had the fish of the day which I was most happy with.
This is a place where everybody who is anybody comes to be seen, consequently, there is quite a bit of walking around, greeting and back slapping, which is good fun. If you are a people watcher you will enjoy.
(by the way, I paid with my UK credit card and was pleasantly surprised to find on my account when I got home, that the VAT had been refunded - good )

Loved the restaurant- it was right on the beach, fresh fish, highly recommend saving room for the dulce de leche volcano dessert!

Best grilled fish ever but go early to watch the rich and beautiful arrive. Men a mixture of paunchy ex-footballers, heads of multi-national companies and villains. Obligatory for women to sport long blonde hair and wear white jeans. Deceptively casual but very professional. The most memorable experience of a three week holiday in Uruguay and Argentina. Not cheap but worth the money to step into this world for a couple of hours, and then step swiftly back out of it back to your real life.

We ate here every day for lunch. Delish grilled and fried fish. Great to linger over a few drinks and great food. Loved the people watching!
