We had an amazing experience rafting to this lodge and back.
The rafting was great despite the river being very low and there being plenty of other rafters on it, with spectacular scenery and great guides.
The lodge is beautiful, with immaculate rooms and a lovely viewing area.
There is no electricity in the rooms or restaurant so meals are taken by candlelight.
The set menu of simple, fresh food is well prepared.
Staff are all friendly and helpful and most very knowledgeable about wildlife and eager to share their knowledge. Jonathan has amazing photos he has taken of Costa Rican wildlife which I am sure he will show you if you ask nicely!
The lodge has its own canopy wires (additional charge) which we didn’t do, but others said were great.
With forest all around wildlife is abundant with numerous resident toucans and plentiful other bird species.
Do expect to be wet most of the time! Your rafting clothes are unlikely to dry out and being a rain forest other things soon succumb to the damp.
Highly recommended, in my top three of the ten lodges we stayed in during our trip.More
