“Value for money”
Reviewed February 7, 2013 via mobile

Simply put the best in terms of value for money. The place is modern, very smart and well arranged with no unnecessary clutter in the rooms. The staff is very friendly and they try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They offer free wifi ( quite fast for African standards), nice secure parking, lots of DSTV channels, breakfast and dinner at a small price. On top of that you will find you car cleaned in the morning.

First knowing the price of the room, we thought it'l be OK (or not) and definitely simple, but the place is absolutely well kept and the rooms don't lack anything. The french owner and his family, are doing a great job. By the way, it is in the middle of nowhere, but it had perfect wifi access and the biggest choice of foreign TV channels I have seen on this tour of Namibia and ZAR (Republic of South Africa).
I rated "Excellent" not because it is a luxury place, but in regard to the perfect work done by the owners and the price. We expected much less for 60 USD, that what we got, and many times the very bad service in pricy places (500 to 1000 USD a night) makes the experience very bad and frustrating. The 8 following ratings are also done regarding the price and what the owner delivers.
The owner and his wife love Namibia and the people of the country, and the conversation with them was definitely an added value, I must say to our whole trip inside Namibia.
We had a great beef diner in a restaurant in the middle of a garden, nothing fancy, we were friendly served by the owner, a Lady from Finland, her husband it the Chef and it was also a rewarding experience.
We visited during the afternoon of our arrival, the Cheetahs Conservatory, a place where a non-profit organization, takes care of female cubs cheetahs, when the mother has been killed. The staff tries to send them back to the wild, if they are ready for it. Only female, then the government doesn't want to have cubs born there and to keep a cheetahs' farm or sell the animals. The guide was very good at his job and caring about the animals, and show us how individual, by their face and behavior, those big cats can be.

Very simple but clean place. Small, only 10 rooms, close to main road.
Rooms are large and have air condition. Clean, simple.
Good for a stop-over between Swakopmund and Etosha. Do not expect a luxury place, but for less than 60 USD you can’t expect that.
I found the owners extremely friendly and helpful (they talked to us for long, gave good recommendations etc.), and this made it a pleasant stay.

This was one of our nicest stays in Namibia. The manager was very nice, and extremely helpful in every way. The guesthouse has recently been purchased by a French family who live on site, and are eager to do everything possible to make this a great place to stay. Most highly recommended as a great stay for visiting the Cheetah Conservation Fund and Africat Foundation near Otjiwarongo.
