Three wonderful says skiing in the Andes. Warm, comfortable lodging with friendly staff and good food. Enjoyed the hot tub and the hot showers. Easy in and out thanks to local transportation. A couple of breakfast suggestions: would provide jam for toast, cold milk for cereal, and granola for yogurt. Hard boiled eggs and a little bacon or fried ham would be nice too.

Excellent place to stay, much preferred over the fancy hotels at Valle Nevado. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a nice view, meals were outstanding, staff super nice and helpful. The living room area was also comfortable, with a fire always in the woodstove, nice to relax with a glass of wine after skiing. Shuttle to La Parva and El Colorado was terrific, we preferred skiing these to Valle Nevado - way better skiing in our opinion. Highly recommend to those who prefer a bed and breakfast over hotels.

The staff were friendly and gave us false promises (will explain later). The hotel needs a major overhaul. Our shower was broken and the drain came out and my husband almost fell.
The hotel was situated outside of a gas station and was very reclusive, like almost nothing to do. The food was okay I guess. I don't really eat porkchops and Chile is known for it's ceviche, which they didn't serve bc they catered to Brazilian clientele. We expected much more since this was about $500 a night if not more.
The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and the first night I tried to sleep in the main room for a bit.

We went to Santiago instead of staying the last night that we pre-paid for (and were promised a refund and then they refused to do so). We had enough of subpar food, blah breakfast and needed to stay in luxury for a fraction of the cost. We opted to have a wonderful stay in the Grand Hyatt in Santiago. We had a wonderful day and were so glad to leave this boring place.

If you are looking for a nice place and a little luxury, this is not it. The stray dogs on the property were cute though. We understand skiing vacations aren't the lap of luxury, but save your money and get ceviche in Santiago.

Not to mention, getting up to the mountain is not for the motion sick. Ski in the US (like Park City, Utah or Breckinridge, Colorado). But do have a wonderful experience in the beautiful, friendly city of Santiago.

Again, we aren't pretentious, but this was expensive for what you get.

We recommend this ski lodge located 3 minutes from Farellones, 6 minutes from La Parva and Colorado, and 25 minutes from Valle Nevado. The ambience is casual but cozy and family oriented. They offer discounted lift tickets to Colorado and shuttles to and from. Staff was young, friendly and very helpful. As for the food, we loved the deserts and the breakfast croissants but the dinners were only so so. The lodge has free wifi in the lobby but the signal is not that strong due to the remote alpine area. We would go back.

This hotel was built when skiing was first introduced to Farellones and el Colorado. The current owner/manager, Pau Padros, lovingly keeps the hotel up to date. Such details as attending to storage of skis and boots by an attentive staff add to the total experience. Many of the staff are fluent in English and Portuguese. Evening meals are creative with a great variety from day to day but have a fixed menu. Breakfast is a buffet with eggs, cold meats, cheeses, rolls, pastries, juice, fresh fruit, etc. Transportation is available to and from the mountains if you do not choose to use your own vehicle. Transportation can be arranged from the airport or anywhere in Santiago to and from the hotel.

Room tip: Rooms on the front have a great view.
